RadScan 800 4pi Gamma Imager
Datasheets

The unique RadScan 800 significantly reduces decommissioning, refurbishment or maintenance costs and minimises operator dose uptake.

Using proven technology the RadScan 800 remotely locates and characterises gamma hotspots with exceptional accuracy in a wide variety of environments, including building surfaces, cells, in or on glove boxes and process vessels.

The data provided by the RadScan 800 enables clean up teams to identify and prioritise the removal of radioactive materials, or determine which areas require shielding or decontamination, at the earliest stage of the decommissioning cycle, leading to a safer and more cost-efficient process.

The RadScan 800 represents a major advance over earlier models with a much lighter, smaller construction, which can be deployed easily and quickly by a single operator in a wider variety of locations.
The instrument can be floor mounted on a lightweight, height-adjustable tripod or fixed directly to a wall, floor or roof using an integral quick release coupling, vastly increasing its versatility of application. It can also be mounted on other fixed or mobile platforms. The spatial distribution and intensity of radiation is precisely mapped, recorded and overlaid on to colour video images that are viewed and analysed remotely at a safe distance on the workstation.

This highly cost-effective gamma imaging technology has been successfully deployed within a wide range of redundant nuclear facilities in both government and commercial sectors throughout the world.
